Human Rights or Constitutional Rights?

I was reading various news stories this morning and was stunned to read these two almost side-by-side:

and

http://www.usatoday.com/story/theoval/2015/09/28/obama-lgbt-democratic-party-kim-davis-gay-marriage-licenses/72959988/

If you read them both, you’ll probably be stunned too. If you don’t, let me give just the briefest overview.

Pope Francis says human rights, of which acting on your religious convictions, are more basic than any other rights.

President Obama says that religious liberty is subject to “constitutional” rights.

This is a truly frightening statement from our president. I would have loved to hear these two men debate this difference while the Pope was here in America.
